Innovation Day - Sign Up

Two hands-on AI sessions. Two hours each. No slides, no lectures - you, a chatbot you already use, and a real task. Pick the one that fits your job and grab a slot.

Both sessions teach the same five ways of working with AI. Each puts a different two hours of practice behind them. You only need to attend one - though if you want both, sign up for both and we’ll fit you in if there’s room.

The two sessions

Build a SkillSpec-First Build
In one lineTurn a recurring task you do by hand into a reusable AI “recipe”Build a small feature properly - spec first, then code, with a human review gate
ForProgramme managers, ops, admin, HR, procurement, finance - anyone with a repeatable processA full product team: Dev, Architecture, QA, Product, UI/UX
You’ll leave withA one-page Skill you can paste into any chatbot and reuse next weekA feature built to the API contract, an ADR, and a tested change
Tech neededNone - just a chatbot you can log intoNone - just a chatbot you can log into (the team builds together)
ConfidenceMixed welcome - first-timers thrive hereComfortable building or shipping software
Walk away able toStop re-typing the same prompt; standardise it for your teamApply spec-first discipline and the human-signs-the-work gate to real delivery

Not sure which one?

Tie-breaker: If your day involves code or owning a delivery, take Spec-First Build. If your day is about process or people, take Build a Skill.

Still on the fence? Build a Skill is the safer first step for anyone non-technical or new to AI. Nobody is in the wrong room - facilitators will redirect you on the day if it’s a better fit.

The one hard prerequisite

Bring at least one working AI chatbot you can log into. That’s it. That’s the whole bar.

Everything in both sessions is tool-agnostic - the techniques work the same in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot Chat, or whatever your team has. We don’t care which one you bring.

Mixed tool estate? Good - that’s the real world. Roughly 70% of you have one tool; the rest are on OpenAI or Gemini, and most of our Madrid HR/Procurement colleagues are on Gemini. None of that matters here. We deliberately built both sessions to run on any mainstream chatbot. You will not be at a disadvantage for being on a different tool than the person next to you.

What does matter: that you can actually log in on the day. A licence you’ve never activated, or one stuck behind an approval, is the one thing that will sit you out. We check this before you arrive - see Tooling & Onboarding for the 2-minute pre-flight test.

No licence at all? Still sign up. We have a fallback ladder (a no-login free tier, pairing you with someone as a spec-writer, or a supervised shared login) so a missing licence never blocks you. Details in Tooling & Onboarding.

What we’ll ask when you sign up

Keep it quick - this is the whole form.

#FieldTypeWhy we ask
1NametextRoster + name card
2Function / teamdropdown (Programme, Ops, Admin, HR, Procurement, Finance, Dev, Architecture, QA, Product, UI/UX, Other)Balances the rooms; routes the tie-breaker
3Sessionradio (Build a Skill / Spec-First Build)Which room you’re in
4Slotradio (AM / PM)Capacity planning
5Which AI tool will you bring?dropdown (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude / Copilot Chat / Other / I don’t have one)Spot tool-less people early; pre-stage the right fallback
6Can you log into that tool today? (yes/no)radioThe single biggest day-of risk - surfaces it now, not at 09:00
7Data-handling consentcheckbox (required)“I understand I will use only synthetic or public data in this session - no real names, client data, PII, or confidential figures.” See Way #3.

If you answer “no” or “I don’t have one” to 5 or 6, that’s fine - it just flags you for the pre-flight check so we sort it before the day, not on it.

Capacity, deadline & how places are allocated

  • ~15 places per bucket. Four buckets in total: each session (Build a Skill, Spec-First Build) runs AM and PM. That’s 2 sessions × 2 slots × ~15 = ~60 places.
  • Whitelist gate. Places are confirmed against the approved attendee whitelist for this cohort. Signing up registers your interest; you’ll get a confirmation once your place is allocated.
  • Sign-up deadline: end of day Monday. We freeze rosters Monday evening to run the pre-flight tool checks and balance the rooms. Late sign-ups go straight to the waitlist.
  • Waitlist. Buckets fill fast. If your first choice is full, you’ll be offered the other slot (AM/PM) or the waitlist. We release waitlist places as drop-outs come in - keep an eye on your inbox the week of.
